Day 5: Railroad Bridge Park and Dungeness River Audubon Center(15 from Olympic Game Farm)

Day 5: Railroad Bridge Park and Dungeness River Audubon Center(15 from Olympic Game Farm)

Reasons to go:

  • The railroad bridge, now a boardwalk, was built in 1915. This path is now a part of the paved Olympic Discovery Trail. It’s a terrific place to begin a scenic walk, run, or bike ride.
  • A great winter spot to view bald eagles, when the salmon are in the Dungeness River below.
  • The Dungeness River Audubon Center displays many touchable specimens of local birds and wildlife, including black bear, cougar and lynx.
