These past two weekends were a fun opportunity for Sea Cliff Gardens to give back to the community. First came the Bed and Breakfast Tour that benefited the Port Angeles Symphony. Almost 200 people–who had paid the symphony $20 each–crossed our threshold to see the inn (one of seven b&bs on the tour). At the B&B they got to sample chocolate treats from local restaurants, tour the house and gardens, and listen to members of the symphony playing their flutes in our great room.
Then came the Poker Run Bicycle Ride for the Sequim Dog Park. About 50 cyclists–who had each paid a $20 entry fee to benefit the Dog Park–pedaled down our driveway (one of seven businesses they visited during their ride). They each drew a card from our poker deck, and at the end of the ride, whichever cyclist had the best poker hand won a prize.
The gardens delighted everyone who stopped by, as did the incredibly blue water at the edge of our cliff, thanks to the beautiful weather both days. And we were delighted to share our b&b with so many new faces, and to be able to help two very special causes! ~Bonnie
